Murphy inks golf scholarship with PRCC

     POPLARVILLE   Hancock County High's Rob Murphy has signed a grant-in-aid
scholarship with Pearl River Community College's golf team, according to PRCC coach Mike
Humphreys.
     Murphy, the son of Richard and Jan Murphy of Diamondhead, is a three-handicap player
and was captain of the HCHS golf team this past year. He qualified for the state tournament his
sophomore year with the Hawks.
     In addition, he participated in the Maxfli Junior Tour in 1998 and attended the LSU Golf
Camp in 1999.
