Technology program to offer community programs

River Community College's Respiratory Care Technology
program will begin offering
a series of asthma education programs to the
community. The presentations
are free and will be held monthly on
Tuesday nights from 6:00
p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the PRCC Forrest County
Center in the Allied Health

Teacher and Community Programs
POPLARVILLE-On February
16, Pearl River Community College will
officially begin offering
continuing education courses through the new
Center for Teacher and Community
Programs. The Center's mission is to
serve teachers and members
of the community by providing life-enriching
learning experiences.
The Center will provide a variety of courses that
range from the serious,
such as American Politics and War on Terrorism,
to fun at an Old Time Bluegrass
Music Jam Session. Through two of the
offerings, Courage
to Teach retreats and Practical Observational
Astronomy, teachers may

River Community College swept Meridian in women’s
and men’s MACJC South Division
basketball action here Thursday.
The Lady Wildcats pulled
out an 84-81 overtime squeaker to improve to
9-7 overall and 4-2 in division
play, while the Wildcats rebounded from
its double-OT league loss
to Hinds Tuesday with an 81-75 victory over
the host Eagles. PRCC’s
men improved to 10-5 and 4-2, while MCC’s men
