PRCC public relations
staff captures 14 awards
POPLARVILLE
- Pearl River Community College’s public relations staff
captured 14 awards, including
four first-place awards, in annual
competition sponsored by
the College Public Relations Association of
Mississippi (CPRAM).
The public
relations staff also won five second-place awards, three
third-place awards and two
honorable mention awards. PRCC competes in
the junior college division
of CPRAM, which is open to all 15
community/junior colleges
across the state.
Senior
college staff compete in a separate division. The awards were
presented during CPRAM’s
annual spring meeting this month in Biloxi for
work performed in 2004.

place: News Story, “PRCC opens Advanced Technology Center,”
Chuck Abadie, a news story
on the opening of the Lowery A. Woodall
Advanced Technology Center.

with our colleagues at other
community/junior colleges in the state,”
said Chuck Abadie, Director
of Public Relations at PRCC. “It speaks well
of the information product
PRCC offers daily to the public. Everyone on
the staff has worked hard
this year and they deserve recognition.”
Hague, a Petal native and 1999 PRCC graduate, is the school’s webmaster
and yeardisk advisor. Deaver,
a Purvis native and 1975 PRCC graduate, is
assistant director of public
relations and Dixie Drawl advisor. Luke is
public relations assistant,
and Rawls is PRCC bookstore manager. |
