PRCC hosted a special meeting
of county officials from the hardest hit 15 counties in south Mississippi
on Monday, August 5, 2005. Among dignitaries present were Presdent
George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush, Governor Haley Barbour and Mrs.
Barbour, U.S. Senator Trent Lott, and U. S. Representative Charles Pickering.

NJCAA and MACJC football champion Pearl River has been a thorn in the side
of perennial powerhouse Hinds for the past few seasons.
Over the past two years,
the Eagles have lost just four times with three of those setbacks coming
from the hands of the Wildcats. This Saturday, the two teams will do battle
for the 65th time when Hinds visits for a 6 p.m. kickoff here in Dobie
