PRCC televises Christmas concert

     POPLARVILLE - Christmas at the River, a 30-minute holiday concert featuring Pearl River Community College’s Department of Fine Arts and Communication, will be broadcast throughout South Mississippi during the holiday season.
     The concert includes performances by the Pearl River Singers concert choir and The Voices jazz ensemble.
     The concert can be seen on Comcast Cable Channel 11 in the greater Hattiesburg area at 9 p.m. Sunday through Friday, Dec. 20-25. It can also be seen on WXXV-TV at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 22-24.
     LaDona Tyson directs the Pearl River Singers and The Voices. Pianist is Hope McKellip.
     PRCC Television and Film Productions, a division of the public relations office, produced the broadcast.
     The broadcast includes The Voices performing Carol of the Bells, Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town, O Christmas Tree, Winter Wonderland, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Thankful.
     The Pearl River Singers perform Adeste Fideles, This Little Babe, Away in a Manger, God Christian Men, Rejoice; The Hallelujah Chorus and Silent Night with Chad Fountain, soloist.
