Pearl River signs 29 to letters of intent on National Signing Day

    POPLARVILLE — Pearl River Community College head football coach Tim Hatten signed 27 high school standouts to national letters of intent here Wednesday on National Signing Day, while two other prospects signed Thursday.
    Hatten said 10 other prospects are expected to sign, including an out-of-state recruit.
    The signees (listed alphabetically by high school) include:
    BASSFIELD HIGH SCHOOL: Josh Griffith (DB), Marcus Hosey (DL), Jeremy Johnson (RB), Carvey Magee (QB), Josh Myers (RB), Justin Penn (DE).
    COLUMBIA HIGH SCHOOL: Derrick Bourne (DB), Denzel Expose (DB), Jacquaa Peters (DB).
    EAST MARION HIGH SCHOOL: Leonard Johnson (WR), Ricky Willis (DB).
    FORREST COUNTY A.H.S.: Devin Culbreath (DL-LB), Isaiah Jackson (WR).
    HANCOCK COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL: Chris Bermond (LB).
