Two Wildcats first-team MACJC All-State honorees
Crawford, Washington selected to elite squad; Crawford also first-team All-Region 23
POPLARVILLE — Two members of Pearl River Community College’s state championship Wildcat basketball team have been named to the elite first-team All-State squad for the 2009-2010 season.
All-MACJC honorees include freshman forward Phillip Crawford out of Murphy High School in Mobile, Ala., and sophomore forward Kenderek Washington of Utica who prepped at Hinds Agricultural High School.
Crawford was also named to the first-team All-Region 23 squad, while Washington was named to the regional second team..
Other first-team All-MACJC selections included Marcus Hooten of Copiah-Lincoln, Chris Wallace of Hinds, and Brandon Wilson of Jones Country.
Second-team All-MACJC selections inlcuded Raymond Cintron of Mississippi Gulf Coast, Antonio Grace of East Central, Nic Combs of Jones County, Mitch Thompson of Southwest Mississippi, and JaCorey Wright of Hinds.
Joining Crawford on the first-team All-Region 23 team are CoCo Ware of East Mississippi, Wilson of Jones County, Wallace of Hinds, and Hooten of Copiah-Lincoln.
Joining Washington on the second-team All-Region 23 team are included Cintrone of Mississippi Gulf Coast, Justine Gillard of Northwest Mississippi, Falando Jones of Mississippi Delta, Vincenzo Nelson of Itawamba, and Darrell Williams of Delgado (La.).
