RAYMOND The Hinds Eagles wrapped-up their 1999 regular season
in grand style
here Thursday, blasting
rival Pearl River 50-6 to clinch the 1999 MACJC South Division title.
The nationally-ranked Eagles, who finished 9-1 overall and 5-1 in division
play, will play
Itawamba, the North's No.
2 finisher, next Saturday in Raymond in the first round of the
MACJC's new four-team playoff
set-up (North's No. 1 plays the South's No. 2 and vice-versa).
Itawamba, 6-4 and 4-2, was
upset by East Mississippi 35-3 in Scooba Saturday to wrap-up its
