River swept at Gulf Coast
PERKINSTON — Eighth-ranked Mississippi Gulf Coast swept Pearl River’s Lady Wildcats in MACJC South Division softball action here Wednesday on Ross-Smith Field, taking a 10-2 victory in the opening game of the twin bill before winning 7-3 in the nightcap game.
PRCC dropped to 21-17 overall and 10-10 in division play, while MGCCC improved to 28-7 and a division-leading 17-3.

Pearl River Community College pitcher Neely McCrary, a sophomore out of Petal High School, has been named the MACJC Pitcher of the Week (March 31-April 7) after posting a perfect 2-0 weekly mark. McCrary gave up just one run in 13 innings of mound work with a 4-1 victory over Baton Rouge (La.) and 9-0 MACJC South Division victory over Southwest Mississippi.
