PRCC forms utility lineman Alumni Advisory Board

POPLARVILLE - Six graduates of the utility lineman technology program at Pearl River Community College came back to campus last week for the first meeting of the program Alumni Advisory Board.Instructor Randy Henry set up the board as a way for former students to share what theyve learned on the job with current students and instructors.It gives the student the advantage of the workforce, said Taylor Williams of Saucier, who graduated in 2010 and works for Chain Electric. It gives them the heads up.The alumni can also help instructors by telling them what skills they had to learn once they were hired, said Jeremy Guidry of Carriere.It to help the program and make the program grow, he said.Guidry graduated in 2008 and works for Coast Electric Power Association.For more information on the utility lineman technology program, telephone 601 403-1090.
