The Wildcats pulled off a hard-fought 1-0 shutout to claim the first game before following with a 5-0 victory in the nightcap to improve to 34-10 overall and 17-5 in division play. The host Bobcats, on the other hand, dropped to 27-15 and 15-9.

With the wins, the Wildcats’ 15-5 division mark pushes them first place in the South and are now 32-10 overall. Hinds, on the other hand, dropped to 15-22 and 5-13.
PERKINSTON — Ninth-ranked Pearl River swept arch-rival Mississippi Gulf Coast in MACJC South Division doubleheader baseball action here Saturday, taking a 7-4 come-from-behind win in the first game before bombarding the host Bulldogs 11-1 in six innings in the nightcap.
The Wildcats improved to 30-10 overall and 13-5 in division play — tied with Jones County for the division lead — while the Bulldogs dropped to 20-16 and 7-9.
POPLARVILLE — The fifth-ranked Pearl River Wildcats swept Copiah-Lincoln in MACJC South Division baseball doubleheader action here Tuesday, taking a 6-2 win in the first game before rallying late for a 7-6 nightcap victory.
PRCC improved to 28-10 overall and 11-5 in division play, while CLCC’s Wolfpack dropped to 16-19 and 5-11.
POPLARVILLE — The fifth-ranked Pearl River Wildcats split with East Central in MACJC South Division baseball action here Saturday, falling to the visiting Warriors 6-2 in the opening game of the doubleheader before bouncing back with a high-scoring 12-11 victory in the nightcap.
PRCC is now 26-10 overall and 9-5 in division play, while ECCC is 18-15 and 10-4 — tied for first place in the division with Jones County. The River is currently in second place in the South.
