SCOOBA — Pearl River split with East Mississippi in MACJC non-division baseball action here Sunday with the host Lions nipping the Wildcats 6-5 in the first game before getting bombarded 13-0 in six innings in the nightcap.
PRCC improved to 8-2 overall with the win, while EMCC dropped to 7-5.
In the opening game, East Miss held Pearl River scoreless for the first three innings while scoring two in the bottom of the first and three in the bottom of the third to take a 5-0 advantage after three.

POPLARVILLE — Pearl River pulled off an impressive 5-4 extra-inning victory over No. 1-ranked LSU-Eunice before bouncing back with a 7-6 nightcap win to hand the reigning NJCAA Division II national champions their first losses of the season here Tuesday in Wildcat Stadium.
PRCC led 3-0 after five innings in the first game, but LSU-E answered with three in the top of the sixth before taking a 4-3 lead in the eighth. The Wildcats tied it up in the bottom of the ninth to send things into an extra inning.
MERIDIAN — Pearl River’s Wildcats pulled off an impressive sweep here Sunday on Scaggs Field at Meridian CC, pounding MACJC non-division foe Coahoma 14-1 in five innings before dropping the host Eagles 9-5.
PRCC improved to 5-1 on the year with the wins.
POPLARVILLE — Pearl River’s Wildcats swept Bishop State (Ala.) in NJCAA baseball doubleheader action here Friday, rallying late to take a hard-fought victory in the first game before pounding the visiting Wildcat squad 10-0 in five innings in the nightcap game.
PRCC improved to 3-1 overall, while BSCC dropped to 1-8.
In the first game, Bishop State scored in the first three innings to go up 4-0 after three before Pearl River bounced back with two in the bottom of the fourth and three in the sixth to take the one-run victory.
Today's home baseball game against Bishop State has been rescheduled for Friday, February 15th at 4:00 (DH).
VIDALIA, La. — Pearl River Community College split with Baton Rouge in a season-opening baseball doubleheader here Saturday with the Wildcats taking a lopsided 8-1 victory in the first game before falling to the Bears 3-0 in 11 innings in the nightcap contest.
The twin bill highlighted grand opening of the Vidalia Sports Complex.
Both teams are now 1-1 on the season.
