POPLARVILLE --- Pearl River Community College grabbed a pair of impressive MACJC South Division women’s and men’s basketball victories over Southwest Mississippi here Monday with the Lady Wildcats pulling out a hard-fought 60-56 victory, while the Wildcats bombed the visiting Bears 87-71.
PERKINSTON --- Pearl River Community College swept arch-rival Mississippi Gulf Coast here Thursday in MACJC South Division basketball action with the Lady Wildcats taking a 71-63 win, while the Wildcats avenged an earlier loss to the host Bulldogs with a 76-65 victory.
PRCC’s women improved to 13-3 overall and 8-2 in division play, while its men are now 13-5 and 6-4. MGCCC’s women dropped to 7-12 and 3-5, while its men are now 14-5 and 7-3.
DECATUR --- Pearl River Community College swept East Central in MACJC South Division basketball action here Monday with the Lady Wildcats taking a 75-67 win, while the Wildcats were 81-76 victors.
PRCC’s women improved to 12-3 overall and 7-2 in division play, while its men are now 12-5 and 5-4. ECCC’s Lady Warriors are 7-11 and 2-7, while the Warriors are 6-12 and 2-7.
POPLARVILLE --- Pearl River Community College picked a pair of impressive women’s and men’s MACJC South Division basketball victories over Hinds here Friday with the Lady Wildcats taking a 58-39 win, while the Wildcats were 70-59 victors.
The contests were originally scheduled for Thursday, but were moved to Friday due to icy conditions.
PRCC’s women improved to 11-3 overall and 6-2 in division play, while its men are now 11-5 and 4-4. HCC’s women remain winless at 0-17 and 0-8, while its men fell to4-13 and 1-7.
WESSON --- Pearl River split with rival Copiah-Lincoln in women’s and men’s MACJC South Division basketball action here Monday with the home-standing Lady Wolfpack pulling off a convincing 78-59 victory, while the Wildcats snapped a five-game losing streak with a 70-56 victory.
PRCC’s women dropped to 10-3 overall and 5-2 in division play, while its men improved to 10-5 and 3-4. CLCC’s women are now 10-6 and 3-4, while its men are 8-8 and 4-3.
Pearl River's MACJC South Division women's and men's basketball tilts originally scheduled for Thursday, Jan, 30 (5 p.m. women, 6 p.m. men) have been moved to Friday, Jan. 31, at 4 p.m. (women) and 6 p.m. (men) in Shivers Gym on the PRCC campus in Poplarville.

PRCC’s women improved to 10-2 overall and 5-1 in division play, while it men dropped to 9-5 and 2-4. JCJC’s women are now 10-5 and 5-2, while its men are 14-1 and 7-0.
MERIDIAN --- Pearl River Community College was swept by Meridian in women’s and men’s MACJC South Division basketball action here Tuesday with the Lady Wildcats taking a 71-43 walloping, while the Wildcats dropped their fourth straight with a 71-70 setback off a buzzer-beating basket by the Eagles’ Corey Brister.
PRCC’s women dropped to 10-2 overall and 4-1 in division play, while its men dropped to 9-4 and 2-3. MCC’s women are now 12-2 and 3-1, while its men are 2-11 and 1-3.
SUMMIT --- Pearl River Community College split with Southwest Mississippi in women’s and men’s MACJC South Division basketball action here Thursday with the Lady Wildcats taking a 73-72 overtime victory, while the Wildcats dropped their third straight with a 73-69 setback.
PRCC’s women improved to 7-1 overall and remain undefeated at 4-0 in division play, while its men dropped to 9-3 and 2-2. SMCC’s women are 11-2 and 3-1, while its men are 7-6 and 1-3.
POPLARVILLE --- The storied Pearl River-Mississippi Gulf Coast basketball rivalry saw a split here Monday in Shivers Gymnasium with the host Lady Wildcats taking a hard-fought 80-72 MACJC South Division victory, while the Wildcats fell 64-62.
PRCC’s women improved to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in division play, while its men dropped to 9-2 and 2-1. MGCCC’s women fell to 5-7 and 1-2, while it men are now 10-2 and 3-0.
