Bolden new PRCC assistant football coach

Kelvin Bolden                POPLARVILLE – Former University of Southern Mississippi football star Kelvin Bolden has been hired as wide receivers coach at Pearl River Community College.
            Bolden, 26, a native of Ocean Springs, caught 104 passes for 1,393 yards and 13 touchdowns in his two seasons at Southern Miss. He was a member of the Golden Eagles' 2011 Conference USA championship team.
            At PRCC, Bolden will also serve as assistant strength and conditioning coach and offensive recruiting coordinator.
            Bolden played at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he was All-State wide receiver for two years and made the 2009 All-American team before signing with USM.
            He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Redskins in 2012, but was released in training camp. He later signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League.
            Bolden, who has a 7-year-old son, Kameron, served as volunteer assistant coach at Ocean Springs Middle School and High School in 2014.
