Lady ‘Cats bash Keesler 87-43

            BILOXI --- Pearl River’s Lady Wildcats walloped Keesler Air Force Base 87-43 here Thursday to improve to 2-1 overall.
            PRCC led 45-18 at the break before outscoring KAFB 42-25 in the second half to take the lopsided victory.
            Shanta’ Echols of Sumrall High paced The River with 13 points, while Elisha Ray out of Yates High in Houston, Tex., scored 12 (three rebounds), Deantra Darjean (three rebounds), a Prairie View A&M transfer to prepped with Ray at Yates High, and Kalisha Washington out of Murrah High in Jackson, 10 each, Taylor Brister, an East Central CC transfer who prepped at Prentiss High, nine, Tiana Dampeer of Lawrence County High seven (four rebounds), Jalonda Jones of Quitman High (four rebounds) and Essence Pulliam out of Forest Hill High in Jackson (four rebounds), six each, Kaci Sisson of Quitman High and Vamikka Smith out of Murphy High in Mobile, Ala., four each, Tamera Williams of Hinds County AHS three, Iesha Dixon of Hinds County AHS two, and Tamesha Horne of Taylorsville High one. Skyiesha Moss of Quitman High hauled in a team-high five boards.
The River’s women and men open their MACJC South Division schedule Thursday, Dec. 5, against Hinds in Utica with 6 p.m. (women) and 8 p.m. (men games).
