Lady Wildcats hold off East Central for road victory

Charisma Walker POPLARVILLE – Pearl River Community College used superior defense and a little bit of luck to hold on down the stretch, earning a 49-47 victory over East Central Monday night in women’s basketball action at Decatur.

PRCC turned the game around in the second quarter, after trailing 16-11 at the end of one quarter of play. Pearl River outscored the Lady Warriors 12-6 in the second period to lead at halftime 23-22.
