Lady Wildcats suffer season’s first loss at LSU-Eunice

POPLARVILLE – Pearl River Community College took its first loss of the season in women’s basketball Thursday, dropping a 74-65 decision at LSU-Eunice.

The Lady Wildcats dropped to 4-1 heading into the Thanksgiving break; LSU-E improved to 4-2.

PRCC trailed 23-16 after the first quarter and 38-32 at halftime.

Redshirt sophomore Rah Franklin (New Orleans) had her first double-figure game of the season for Pearl River, scoring 16 points, including 4 of 11 from 3-point range.

Sophomore Charisma Walker (Brandon) had 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals, sophomore Kyla Malone (Oxford) added 11 points, and sophomore Tyasia Willis (Camden) had 7 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.  

The Lady Wildcats will resume play on Nov. 30 against Bishop State at Mobile, Ala.
