PRCC moves baseball, softball games up to Tuesday due to weather forecast

POPLARVILLE – Pearl River Community College has moved its MACJC baseball and softball doubleheaders at Wildcat Stadium up a day, from Wednesday to Tuesday, because of expected rainy weather in the Pine Belt the middle of this week.

The Wildcat baseball team will host Southwest Mississippi in a 4 p.m. doubleheader, while the PRCC softball team will host fourth-ranked Jones County in a doubleheader, also scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.

The softball team will be celebrating Military Appreciation Day on Tuesday. Admission is free to all military personnel, and military members will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

In addition, fried fish plates will be available for purchase for $8 a plate as a fundraiser for the baseball and softball programs.
