The guidance and counseling
professionals at Pearl River Community College are in the business of educating
students about issues so they can make informed decisions regarding their
lives. Counseling sessions take place individually and or in groups
to assist students in developing skills necessary to make healthy choices
which will lead to responsible, positive life styles.
PRCC guidance and counseling
services include personal, educational, career, and transcript counseling
in the academic and career-technical areas. Please find a counselor specific
to your area (academic or career-technical) on your campus from the chart
below.
The Special Populations Department
provides career/technical admissions and career counseling, as well as
personal counseling services to eligible students. They also provide
referral information to community and campus services, TABE testing, and
a variety of other counseling services.
The Student Support Services
office provides free tutoring for eligible students, study skills assistance,
assistance for the physically handicapped, general counseling, and assistance
in transferring to a four year college or university. Student Support
Services is located in Room 101 of Jefferson Davis Building.
Testing services, other than
the ACT, GED and TABE, include aptitude and career interest inventories.

Center at Pearl River Community College offers career assistance and advisement
