PRCC Career Tech Works
Career and Technical Education (CTE) at Pearl River Community College is designed to prepare students to directly enter the workforce. PRCC offers two CTE paths: Career Programs and Technical Programs.
Certificate of Completion Programs: Students who complete the requirements of the Cosmetology Instructor Training or Barbering Instructor Training will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.
Career Programs: These programs are designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in the workforce. Upon completion of a program of study (typically 30 semester hours or more), the graduate will be awarded a Career Certificate.
Technical Programs: These programs are designed to prepare students for technical positions in business and industry. Upon the completion of a prescribed curriculum, either a Technical Certificate (45 technical hours) or an Associate in Applied Science degree (AAS) will be awarded to the graduate.
