Laura Garren Berry - Speech Communications

Laura Garren Berry received her Bachelor and Master degrees in Speech Communication from The University of Southern Mississippi.
She began her teaching career at Meridian Community College in 1990 where upon leaving in May of 2000, she received Meridian's first "High Flying Eagle Award". At Meridian Community College, Laura taught Public Speaking, Forensics, and Debate. She also served as Faculty Advisor for the Ivy League - MCC's Student Recruiters. While at Meridian Community College, Laura served on numerous committees. She has also served as President of the Faculty Association, President of the Faculty Senate, and President of the Mississippi Speech Communication Association.

Laura is married to Scott Berry, Associate Head Baseball Coach at The University of Southern Mississippi. They have two children, Garren Michael and Kathryn Grace.
