LaDona Tyson
Director of Choral Activities

    LaDona Tyson is in her third year as Choral Director at Pearl River Community College. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from William Carey College and a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Southern Mississippi. During her time at Southern Miss, Tyson studied with Dr. Gregory Fuller. As a graduate assistant, she conducted the Southern Miss Chamber Singers and Concert Choir.

    Prior to her appointment at PRCC, Mrs. Tyson held the position of Assistant Choral Director at Petal High School. An active member of the National Association of for Music Education and the American Choral Directors Association, Mrs. Tyson is a frequent adjudicator for concert choir and showchoir contests and festivals throughout the state. Mrs. Tyson also serves on the Mississippi ACDA Board of Directors.

   Mrs. Tyson is an active member of Journey Church in Laurel, MS, where she serves on the Worship Team.  LaDona, her husband Scott, and their daughter, Claire reside in Petal, MS.
