Veteran of the 82nd Airborne, paratrooper who jumped behind enemy lines on June 6, 1944. His combat service included battles from France to Holland, including the Battle of the Bulge.
US Marines – Served in the Pacific theatre “island hopping” from Guadalcanal to Iwo Jima. He served aboard the USS Northampton, which was subsequently sunk by the Japanese.
Mr. Blakely and Mr. Stolier will be presenting an interactive presentation of the events of D-Day and beyond and offer accounts of their experiences through pictures, artifacts, and illustrations.
