Women’s Health Symposium

The Pearl River Community College Women’s Health Symposium has been designed to address the unique health concerns of women.
Check-in, Art Walk and Continental Breakfast - 7:30 a.m. No early check-ins.
Welcome - 8:15 a.m.

First General Session - 8:30 a.m.
“Mama Said There’d Be Days Like This” Jean Gatz
Panel Discussion - 9 a.m.
A panel of area healthcare providers will discuss women’s health concerns and answer questions.
Health Screenings - 10 a.m.
Free health screenings will be available from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and will include the following screenings:
- blood pressure
- blood cholesterol
- bone density
- posture analysis
Note: Only a limited number of some of the screenings will be available - first come, first served.
Luncheon - 12 noon
Entertainment will be provided by The Voices, PRCC’s elite vocal ensemble
Second General Session - 12:30 p.m.
“Clean Out the Junk Drawer of Your Life” Certified Speaking Professional Jean Gatz brings a unique blend of wit and wisdom, comedy and common sense to coping with the everyday challenges women face.
Door Prizes, Art Walk - 1:30 p.m.
The Symposium will conclude with the presentation of door prizes and special favors.
The registration fee of $20 includes the continental breakfast, health screenings, and the luncheon if postmarked by January 17; $25 after that date.
Traveling north on U.S. 11, turn left on West North Street and enter the campus on West Gate. Turn right at the first stop sign. Parking is available across from Crosby Hall. Traveling south on U.S. 11, turn right on River Road behind Shivers Gym. Parking is available near Seal Hall on the left past the first stop sign.
