This position will be responsible for the development and administration of the institution’s centralized comprehensive HR management program, and the development and oversight of the various HR plans and procedures district wide. It will have responsibility for such areas as worker’s compensation, EEO regulations, compliance with state and federal regulations such as FMLA, DOL guidelines, and benefits administration. The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred, in HR or business related field of study. Pearl River Community College is now accepting applications for a position in the Dental Assisting Technology Department at the Forrest County Center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. This position includes didactic instruction, laboratory instruction, and some administrative duties. Qualified applicants should possess at minimum a bachelor’s degree and must be a Dental Assisting National Board “Certified Dental Assistant” with occupational experience in the application of fourhanded dentistry principles. In addition, individuals must have a thorough understanding of the use of technology as a supplemental instructional tool. Applicants with experience with education theory and methodology are preferred. Additional duties will include but are not limited to: membership on college committees, sponsorship of student organizations, and advisement of students in Dental Assisting. Pearl River Community College is seeking individuals interested in an adjunct teaching position in the following disciplines:
• Mathematics (all locations but primarily Poplarville) – must have either a master’s degree in mathematics or a master’s degree plus at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics.
• Biology (all locations but primarily Hancock) – must have either a master’s degree in biological science or a master’s degree plus at least 18 graduate hours in biological science.
• Online (specifically in the areas of Public Speaking, Educational Psychology, Music, or Art) – must have either a master’s degree in the specific subject area or a master’s degree plus at least 18 graduate hours in the specific subject area. Because teaching online classes requires specialized training that could take several weeks, anyone interested in teaching online Fall 2018, would teach an 8 week class that beginning in October 2018.
