  • Pearl River Community College is now accepting applications for the position of Instructor of Adult Education (ABE/GED) (Forrest County Center, Hattiesburg, Mississippi).   This is a full-time, 10 month, grant-funded position (MI Best, Kellogg Grant).  Applicants interested in this position must have a Bachelor’s degree and valid K-12 teaching license. Work related experience in grades 6-12 Reading, Math, or Special Education is preferred. Individuals must have a thorough understanding of the use of technology as a supplemental instructional tool and an awareness of working in a team teacher environment.  The successful candidate will be required to submit official transcripts of all higher education credits earned and teacher certification of credentials.

  • Pearl River Community College is now accepting applications for the position of G Adult Education Navigator (12 Mos)(FCC).  This is a full-time (12month), grant-funded support staff position at the Forrest County Center.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the assisting in planning, organizing, and coordinating adult education registration, recruitment, and retention; developing and implementing policies and procedures pertaining to adult education career pathway students; provide intensive college and career navigation for HSE students, establish and maintain good public relations with staff, students, and community contacts.  Travel, within the district, is associated with the position.  An Associate’s degree is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

  • Pearl River Community College is now accepting applications for the position of Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach.  This is a full-time professional position with part-time coaching responsibilities.  The selected candidate will also be required to perform other duties as determined by the College administration.  Candidates applying for this position will be required to have a Bachelor’s degree with a Master’s degree preferred.  The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated, energetic coach with a desire to not only coach college basketball but also be a positive mentor to challenge college student athletes to perform at a superior level both on and off the basketball court.  The ideal candidate must possess and reflect the integrity and moral characteristics expected of a leader of college athletes and will demonstrate a commitment to the academic success of the members of student athletes.  For additional information, please contact Mr. Chris Oney, Men’s Basketball Coach, at coney@prcc.edu.

  • Pearl River Community College seeks to employ a uniquely qualified individual as Head Baseball Coach.  This individual should be a highly skilled, highly motivated, and experienced baseball coach with the ability to lead and challenge college student-athletes to perform at a superior level both on and off the baseball field.  The ideal candidate will possess and reflect the integrity and moral characteristics expected of a leader of college athletes and will demonstrate a commitment to the academic success of the members of the college baseball program.

    The desired candidate will have significant coaching experience with experience in a college or university setting being highly desirable.  A Master’s degree is preferred.  The selected candidate will be expected to live on or near the Poplarville Campus.  Applications will be received no later than Friday, May 27, 2016.

Individuals must have a thorough understanding of the use of technology as a supplemental instructional tool and express an aspiration toward life-long learning and an awareness of working as a member of a departmental team.  Duties will include but are not limited to:  instructor of lecture and/or lab classes, membership on college committees, sponsorship of student organizations, and advisement of students.
