FCC ACT boot camp registration is Sept. 6

  The registration deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 6, for the fall ACT Boot Camp at Pearl River Community College’s Forrest County Center.
  The camp will be held on Friday, Sept. 15, for junior and senior high school students preparing for the ACT. Cost is $55 and includes a study guide.
  The camp will be taught by Dr. Jennifer Seal, ACT Prep Specialist and PRCC vice president. She will provide tips and techniques to improve scores.
  Subject area topics include punctuation marks and right answer vs best answer for the English portion of the test; translating word problems into solutions and overall math review; differences in question types and increasing reading comprehension; and recognizing differences in science problems and the Scientific Method.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
