Requirements
To apply
for this course, the student must be currently enrolled or has applied
to enroll at Pearl River Community College. The student may be enrolled
at any Pearl River Community College location, however, the class only
meets on the Poplarville campus.
The class
meets one hour per week (at a time to be announced) and a requred minimum
of two hours laboratory time per week must be met (based on the individual
student’s schedule). Students will also be required to meet Saturdays for
scheduled productions.
It is highly
recommended that students who enroll in the course also enroll in Creative
Writing (ENG 2133 and ENG 2143). This course will assist the student
in his or her script writing skills.

application. No lab fees are charged for this course. The first
year textbook, Digtial Video: Foundations of Video Design and Production,
is provided free, courtesy of Adobe Systems Incorporated. Because of the
complexity of this course, class size is limited. All class members must
be enrolled (or in the process of enrolling) full time at Pearl River Community
College to be considered for admission in the course.
A second
year course will be added in the 2009-2010 year. Students will be
requried to have successfully completed the first year course to be considered
for the second year.
