The Pearl River Community College Office of Institutional Effectiveness serves as the primary unit for coordinating the ongoing, integrated, institution-wide research-based planning and evaluation processes. These processes incorporate a systematic review of the Mission, Strategic Goals, and outcomes of the College resulting in continuous improvement in institutional quality and demonstrating that the College is effectively accomplishing its mission. These processes include the following:
- Facilitating annual strategic planning and internal performance indicator development
- Supporting faculty who are defining, assessing, and analyzing data in order to develop plans for change related to student learning outcomes
- Consulting with department chairs and faculty in developing a culture of assessment
- Preparing documents for review
- Chairing the Planning and Effectiveness Committee
- Coordinating program reviews that contribute to the Mission and Strategic Goals of the College
