Banner Maintenance Window - Thursday, June 22th thru Sunday, June 24th 2017

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) will be migrating the Banner environment to new Linux systems during the maintenance window .  All Banner systems will be unavailable during this time, as detailed below.

GradesFirst Maintenance, Friday, May12 11:00pm - Saturday, May 13 11:00pm

As part of our next EAB platform release, we will be performing an extended database maintenance operation.  Given this operation, we will have scheduled downtime, for up to 24 hours so we wanted to give you and your team as much advance notice as possible. This maintenance is tentatively scheduled over the weekend from Friday, May 12th at 11:00pm EST – Saturday, May 13th at 11:00pm EST.

IT Maintenance, Friday April 21, 2017

Resolved: The planned Maintenance has been completed. Services have been tested and verified as functioning correctly.

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) will be performing critical maintenance on multiple systems during the maintenance window.  All systems will be periodically unavailable during this time, as detailed below.  Please note that disruptions should be short and distributed throughout the Window.
 
Service Window:

Planned Maintenance Window Friday, March 3 2017 and Saturday, March 4 2017

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) must perform critical maintenance activities on select systems located in the PRCC data center.  During this time, some services will be unavailable (details below).
Service Window:

    4 PM until 10 PM Friday, March 3rd
    6 AM until 9 PM Saturday, March 4th

Affected Services:

IT Services Maintenance Window - Friday, January 20 to Saturday, January 21 6:00 PM

The Information Technology Services team will be completing the migration of the current server environment to the new virtual environment over the weekend. 
In order to complete the migration, there will be some service disruption.  We appreciate your patience as we complete the migration to the new environment.

General Service Window:   Friday, January 20, 2017 8:00PM CST through Saturday, January 21, 2017 6 PM

Internet Service Outage - October 12, 2016

Due to an incident with Media 3, Internet is currently unavailable at the Forrest County Center, Hancock Center, and Woodall Center.  Outside calls cannot be received at the Poplarville campus.  Voicemail is not available.  Four digit dialing between campuses is not available; calls between campuses other than Poplarville can be made using the full phone number.

Banner Upgrade for Friday, July 1, 2016

Friday, July 1, 2016, a Banner upgrade will occur.  During the upgrade, ALL connections to the database must be disabled.  No one can be working in or with any system that might connect to the Banner Database.  Please make certain you have completely logged out all systems before leaving work on Thursday.  Notification will be sent when the system is available.

The Woodall Center cannot make outside calls or receive incoming calls

After additional troubleshooting by both vendors, it was determined that there may be a faulty VoIP card on the PBX. Forerunner will dispatch a technician to replace the card.
