Students living on campus find that it adds to the well-rounded college experience. Research has shown that students who live on campus are more involved, both academically and socially, and have better grades. These students also have immediate access to campus services, facilities, organizations and functions. Students who live on campus are more likely to make life-long friends.

     Those students attending the main (Poplarville) campus may desire the benefits of living on campus.

     The college provides a fine living experience for students, often at a lesser cost than transportation expenses and living at home.

     PRCC offers two distinct living experiences at its main campus, the standard plan and suite residency. In the standard plan, students are housed in fine old buildings that have served the college well. Students share their room with a roommate. Bath and laundry facilities are located on the floor. Telephone and cable TV is provided at no additional expense and a meal plan is included.

     In suite residency, two residents share a divided bedroom/study area with a private bath. These spacious residences feature wireless internet (WiFi), cable TV, laundry facilities, heat and air conditioning controls, and more. These suites are in great demand, so you should apply as early as possible.

     All PRCC residence halls are fully staffed at all times and are provided with ample security services by the PRCC Campus Police. The women’s residences are all located in a protected area with a PRCC Campus Police sub-station in the quad.

     A $75 reservation fee must be attached to the application to complete the process.

     Room assignment priority is based on returning housing students, the receipt date of the application and the reservation fee.
