Athletes earn Academic All-State honors

  POPLARVILLE – Twenty-three student athletes at Pearl River Community College have been named to the Academic All-State list by the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges.
  Students must maintain a 3.25 grade point average and have completed 45 hours of work to receive the honor. They are listed by teams:
  Football – Jeremy Archie of Hermanville, Carter Hankins of Purvis, Jason Ladner of Gulfport, Tarvarius Moore of Quitman, Keefa Nelson of Brookhaven, Stevie Scott of New Augusta, Tanner Bryan of Carriere, Nicholas Thomas of Olive Branch and Antron Watts of Columbia.
  Men’s soccer – Gerrad McLaurin of Ocean Springs and Ray “Trey” Wesson III of Gulfport.
  Softball – Breanna Herndon, Hannah Herndon and Rachel Hickman, all of Poplarville; Shannon Buehler of Bay St. Louis and Hannah Holloway of Petal.
  Women’s basketball – KaNosha Fairley of Pascagoula, Akayla Powell of McComb and Robin Sisson of Quitman.
  Women’s soccer – Rachel Jacobson, Courtney Lechner and Natalie Lechner, all of Pascagoula; and Cassidy Hotchkiss of Biloxi.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
