POPLARVILLE - Heather McLain of Taylorsville was crowned Miss PRCC Wildcat during the annual scholarship pageant held March 31 at Pearl River Community College.A sophomore, McLain will receive a scholarship to help her continue her education. She plans to enroll in the dental hygiene program at the Forrest County Center.Lennzee Lawrence of Petal was named first alternate; Brittany Fortenberry of Columbia, second alternate; and Chase Davis of Sumrall, third alternate.A graduate of Taylorsville High School, McLain is the daughter of Sammie McLain and Julie Dunn, both of Collins.She is vice president of the PRCC Student Government Association and a resident assistant. She was elected 2010 homecoming queen and 2011 Miss PRCC and has been named to Who Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.Lawrence is the daughter of Ron and Anndreia Lawrence of Petal and a graduate of Petal High School. A member of Phi Theta Kappa international honor society, she is enrolled in the the medical laboratory technology program at the Forrest County Center.Fortenberry, the daughter of Greg and Becky Fortenberry of Columbia, is a graduate of Columbia Academy. She is a nursing major and a member of Phi Theta Kappa and the PRCC Singers choir.Davis is the daughter of Angel Davis of Sumrall and a graduate of Sumrall High School. She is a psychology major and a cheerleader.
