Night masonry class coming up

  POPLARVILLE – Pearl River Community College is offering a basic masonry course at night during the spring 2016 semester.
  The class will meet from 5 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday, starting Jan. 12 and ending April 28, at the masonry shop on the Poplarville campus.
  The course offers a masonry tender/helper certificate, which includes applications for 10-hour OSHA certification, basic lift truck OSHA certification and NCCER credentials in core curriculum and masonry Level 1 modules (introduction to masonry, tools and equipment and safety).
  Cost is $150, and students must be 18 before the class starts. Students must have steel-toed boots and safety glasses.
  Applications can be obtained by calling Cheryl Frierson at 601 403-1113.       
  The completed application must be turned in along with a clean drug screen at the student’s expense and a receipt from the PRCC business office for payment in full.   The documents must be turned in to Sheila Smith in the Career Education Building on the Poplarville campus.

  PRCC will be closed Dec. 17 through Jan. 3.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
