PRCC offers entrepreneur training program

Pearl River Community College, in conjunction with the MyBizAM project, is offering a 33_hour Southern Entrepreneur Program (SEP).The program will teach individuals the basics of owning a business, how to create a business plan, accounting and marketing. Cost is $25 for the participant workbook and jumpdrive.The program will be taught twice at the PRCC Lowery A. Woodall Advanced Technology Center in Hattiesburg – 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, Sept. 7-17 and 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, Sept. 7-17.It also will be offered from 1-5 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, staring Aug. 23 and ending Sept. 14, at the Columbia Library and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, Sept. 20-24, at the Picayune WIN Job Center.MyBizAM (MyBiz Alabama_Mississippi Network) is a network of agencies, non_profits and resource providers committed to improving opportunities for citizens in Alabama and Mississippi to start, own, and expand businesses.To sign up, visit your local WIN job center and ask for a “Participant Process Form,” then call PRCC at 601_554_4646 to register.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
