POPLARVILLE - Mississippian Marty Stuart will bring his band, The Fabulous Superlatives, to Pearl River Community College on Saturday, Nov. 19.
Tickets are $25 and $35 for the show that will start at 7 p.m. in the Ethel Holden Brownstone Center for the Arts.
Stuart, born in Philadelphis, Miss., began playing professionally at age 13 as the mandolinist with Lester Flatt’s road band. In his twenties, he toured with Johnny Cash and played with such country music legends as Bill Monroe, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. By the late 1980s, Stuart was a solo artist.
He formed The Fabulous Superlatives band in 2002.
Stuart is also a photographer and host of The Marty Stuart Show on the cable network RFD-TV. Each show features Stuart and The Fabulous Superlatives, a guest artist and Connie Smith, Stuart’s wife who is known as the “Rolls Royce of female country vocalists.”
