Wildcat Den bookstores revamped

POPLARVILLE – The Pearl River Community College bookstores have been renamed, restocked and revamped.
The Wildcat Den, located in Crosby Hall on the Poplarville campus and in the Allied Health Building at the Forrest County Center, is open to the public as well as students and employees.
The advent of Ebooks eliminated the need for multiple shelves of textbooks, said Candace Harper, director of bookstore services.
“We were able to make more retail space,” she said. “In addition to PRCC logo apparel, we have added Poplarville Hornet shirts and non-logo Nike merchandise.”
The Wildcat Den also carries well-known brands, including Vera Bradley, Mud Pie and Southern Charm.
“Vera Bradley is really popular – bookbags, handbags, totes, luggage,” Harper said. “Mud Pie is a whole gift line. Southern Charm is a line of t-shirts and hats. We are doing monogramming and vinyl services. They can place their order and have it within seven business days.”
The stores also offer jewelry and a variety of gift items along with the traditional school supplies and electronics.
“We are going to be carrying a little bit of everything in Hattiesburg,” Harper said.
Customers can follow the Wildcat Den on Facebook and Instagram at prccbookstore and receive a 10 percent discount through Aug. 28.
Wildcat Den is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Wildcat Den bookstore at Pearl River Community College offers an expanded line of PRCC logo merchandise as well as other apparel and gift items.
