Dobie Holden Stadium

Dobie Holden Football StadiumNewly-renovated and remodeled Dobie Holden Stadium was unveiled in September, 2008. All new metal seating was installed. The project added 550 seats to the home side. The entire center section is now chair backs for reserved seating. The renovation also includes a new air-conditioned press box that includes bathroom facilities. Other features of the new stadium include: A new entry area with ticket booth and expanded restrooms, as well as an area to sell school memorabilia. New visitor dressing facility on the northeast corner of the stadium. And a walk-through plaza going to the stadium. Dobie Holden Stadium was originally constructed in 1966. It sat 4,000 fans on the home side and 1,000 fans on the visitors side, and has seen some of the finest community college football action in the state.

The stadium is named for coaching legend, Thomas Dobie Holden (1948-1966), who is credited with 8 state championships and one national championship during his tenure.

Visitor parking is located on the north and east sides of the stadium, while the home side utilizes the east and south sides of the stadium. The stadium was also once the former home to Poplarville High School's Hornets.

Marvin R. White Coliseum

Drawing of New Marvin R. White ColiseumWhite Coliseum, PRCC's main sports arena, was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Shivers Gym was remodeled with a new floor, bleachers, restrooms, concession area, main lobby and dressing rooms. A new Marvin R. White Coliseum is in the planning stages with construction slated to begin in 2010. The rendering at right shows the new Coliseum.

Wildcat Field

Wildcat FieldWildcat Field is home to the PRCC Wildcat's baseball team. This fine facility has recently been completely redone and features a new covered stadium with chair back seats and press facilities; a new scoreboard; a new field house that contains baseball coaches' offices, dressing room facilities, and a weight training area; and a new home side dugout. The lighted field, recently upgraded, represents one of the finest in the league.

PRCC Softball Field

The newly redone softball field features a new covered stadium with press facilities. The field also has recently upgraded the fences and boasts a new scoreboard.

PRCC Soccer Field

Although soccer is a recent addition to the PRCC sports lineup, the field is a first-rate facility. A new covered stadium is complemented by a new press facility and covered team shelters. The field is regulation size and the facility was opened in 1999.

Tennis Courts

Tennis CourtsPRCC's tennis facility features 6 new courts with covered stands. This facility is a recent addition to PRCC's athletic facilities. It is located across from the new PRCC Sports Complex and next door to the Career Technical Education Building on the north end of the Poplarville campus.

PRCC Football Practice Field

The new football practice field is a fine practice facility and serves to save the stadium for home games and other events.

PRCC Wellness Center

The PRCC Wellness Center serves the athletic teams as well as students and staff as a well staffed and maintained facility with exercise machines, free weights, an indoor track, aerobics exercise room and offices and classroooms for members of the Health, Physical Education & Recreation faculty. The 10,000 square foot facility was opened in 1997 and is a part of the Nursing and Wellness facility.
