Title IX prohibits discrimination on the basis of a person's gender in educational programs or activities operated by recipients of federal financial assistance.  Title IX is broader than athletic programs, protecting all students, employees, and visitors to campus from gender discrinimation.  Sexual harassment, including sexual misconduct, is a form of gender discrimination and is strictly prohibited by federal and state laws, and PRCC policy.  This session will include information on Title IX, an explanation of the types of sex discrimination, reporting obligations, and resources available.
