POPLARVILLE - Pearl River Community College kicks off its 2010 preseason football drills here Sunday, Aug. 15.

Ninth-year head coach Tim Hatten said some 65 players will report. The Wildcat prospects see their first practice session Sunday night.

Hatten and his staff will cut the number to a mandated 55-player roster before the 2010 season opener against Northwest Mississippi Thursday, Sept. 2.

Hatten boasts a 67-16 overall record with the Wildcats. His teams have won four MACJC state titles (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006), as well as an NJCAA national championship in 2004.
