Jessica F. Olson has been the men’s and women’s tennis coach at Pearl River
Community College since August, 2004.
Olson, a native of Wiggins, has an extensive tennis background. She lettered
five years at Stone County High School, where she was selected as a Mississippi
Tennis All-Star.
She went on to play two years at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College,
where she played No. 1 singles. While at MGCCC, she was also a member of
the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Olson then signed with the University of Southern Mississippi and played
two years in singles and doubles for the Golden Eagles. She graduated from
USM with a B.A. in English and a minor in Latin, and was a member of the
Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll. She then served as an assistant
coach for one year.
As far as coaching experience, she has been either assistant with or conducting
clinics and private lessons since 1997. She also assisted the women’s head
tennis coach at USM during the fall of 2003. She also served as an assistant
director of the Nike Tennis Camp hosted by USM during the summer of 2006.
