 
What is Tech Prep?
In Mississippi Tech Prep
is an innovative approach to high school, college, and career education.
Tech Prep prepares young people for the careers for tomorrow through the
combination of rigorous academic courses and high-level technical training
which prepares students for direct entry into the workforce or a continuation
of further education.
This initiative is based
on principles of integration of academic and vocational education and strong
applied teaching strategies. Career, Computer and Technology Discovery
programs have a vital role in the Tech Prep Initiative. The Discovery
programs introduce students to the 16 Career Clusters and involve students
in a career and educational planning process.
