She Carries A
TORCH

Early in the day she awakens to cheers.
They want her. They clap and they smile.
Her eyes are happily filled with tears.
Red, White, and Blue become her.

She passes a mirror and sees herself.
She still can't believe it's true.
Now and forever she's one of the few;
She's bathed in Red, White, and Blue.

To her they generously pass the flame;
She's gained a great sisterhood.
Her life now will never be the same.
Hers forever is the Red, White, and Blue.

Although she too must pass on the torch,
She is ever of the chosen few.
The burning spirit of life engulfs her.
It's her's forever, the Red, White, and Blue.

CHANGE

It began with a simple yes.
They've always been friends.
She seeks out the perfect dress;
Her life is about to change.

The owner of the heart he covets,
She spins in circles around him.
He's too amazed to say he loves it.
Her life will soon change.

She's never noticed how sweetly he smiles.
He holds her tightly as she twirls,
All the while thinking,"for you I'd travel miles."
Her life is beginning to change.

The sun sets on friendship. The moon begins to rise.
Neither have ever known love.
Her returned affection is his winning prize.
His luck is beginning to change.

Her eyes sparkle brighter than the ring on her hand.
She now carries his name and his child.
Life turns out better than she could've planned;
Their life is going to change.

Years pass by and her hair turns gray.
His sight's diminished; he still sees her face.
Their hands touch. "I love you" is what they say.
The love they shared will never change.

COME WITH ME

Come with me to see what lies ahead.
It is I you dream of while you sleep.
Do you wish to stay? Look at yourself.
That beautiful face you shall keep.

Come with me to see what lies ahead.
Immortality is the gift to you I bestow.
You'll glimmer with a thirst for the night.
The pain of day you'll no longer know.

Come with me to see what lies ahead.
You'll feel the sting of my eternal kiss.
You shall engage on a lifetime journey;
The other life you shall not miss.

Come with me to see what lies ahead.
Learn to enjoy the drink of blood.
They swoon at your unusual beauty:
Hair so black; Skin white as a dove.

Come with me to see what lies ahead.
Drink of them with your own kiss.
Feast until hearts cease to beat.
Fill your veins with life and bliss.

Come with me to see what lies ahead.
On a bed of dark satin shall you sleep.
Flee from the day's new light,
And eternal life you shall keep.
