Forgiveness
Childish mistakes ruin adults;
The past haunts the future.
Twice as much is now never enough,
Forever I'll pay the price.
My voice calls out. My heart bleeds.
The clock won't let me go back,
But I beg to turn around.
The doors of time slam in my face.
My eyes close in desperation;
They open to face bruised feelings and
hearts
Open and give me another chance.
Amanda
Her delicate body stains her bedroom floor;
Like a cold glass of spilled milk.
Her eyes mourn an unrequited love,
I gather her up to tell her she deserves
more.
Corrected smiles gleam like the morning
sun.
Her innocence puts an older mind at ease,
As child-like expressions escape a young
lady.
Willing to offer laughter because she
wants everyone to be young.
She's beautiful because she wants and loves
to be,
A girlfriend's advice is her golden rule.
Buried in weekend plans, she forgets reality
of today.
Awaiting a phone call, she burns with
girlish glee.
Life's hard faces will never catch her;
The shine of her beauty crowns blur the
truth.
Once she touches you, you're never the
same
Because Sweet Sixteen never gets any sweeter.
Fallen
My blood beats on rose petals
turned from yellow to red.
My feet never touch the ground.
Emotions gush through my veins
and explode from my eyes like fireworks.
My fingertips speak the words
your soul yearns to hear.
The music of sunshine and stars floods
my ears
as my body dances to the rhythm of love.
