Shivers Gym was built in 1949
Shivers Gymnasium
Shivers Gymnasium stands at the north entrance of Wildcat Driver next  to the BandShivers Gym was named for Judge Shivers Hall.  Built in 1949 to replace the old gym/auditorium in Moody Hall, it served as the college's principal indoor sports arena until the Marvin R. White Coliseum was completed in 1974.

Shivers Gym now houses the Adult Basic Educational and General Educational Development programs and offers space for a game room and intramural activities.  It is occasionally used for large meetings such as the annual Health Fair, blood drives, etc.
