Science
& Mathematics Building

.. |
The
Science Building was constructed in 1966 to house the Science Department.
Continued increases in enrollment demanded more classroom space and the
demand was met in 1989. With a two story addition at the rear of
the old building and an exterior remodeling to tie the building into the
general architectural style of the campus, the building's size was doubled.
Containing 30,100 square feet, the science building is one of the largest
on campus. It is a two story structure and contains both the Science
Department and the Mathematical Sciences Department. The building
contains 21 classrooms, an auditorium, nine laboratories, a work room,
and 19 offices.
Science
classrooms and labs are located on the main floor with mathematics classrooms
on both floors and computer labs on the ground floor of the addition.
Most
summer classes are held in the Science building. |
