Marion
Hall
After
Hurricane Camille tore through the Poplarville Campus, it
left among it's casulties a structurally damaged Batson
Hall. When the old girls dormatory was razed in 1969, plans were
made to replace it with a modern facility. Marion Hall was built
in 1970. In 2006, it was converted into a men's dormitory.
A three story building, it has space for 176 men in a unique apartment
module arrangement. Each apartment module (twenty-two in all) contains
space for eight students, a living room, a multipurpose room and four bedrooms.
A spacious lobby/atrium occupies the center of the building. This
lobby is centered around a fountain and is furnished with patio furnature
and study tables.
Marion
Hall is located on Wildcat Drive, between White Hall and the Computer Services
building. |
