Nursing
& Wellness Center
Completed
in August of 1997, the Nursing Building and Wellness Center marks a step
forward for PRCC. The $3.7 million dollar facility contains classroom
and state of the art instructional space for the Associate Degree Nursing
program. With laboratories modeled to simulate the hospital
environment, a large tiered lecturing hall, a learning center and study
space equipped with computers and aids, the PRCC nursing program is as
advanced as any in the country.
The
Nursing Center is joined to the Wellness Center for a unique approach to
total physical
wellness through the preventative use of physical exercise. The Wellness
Center contains an indoor running track, free weights, weight machines,
low-impact aerobics machines, an aerobics training room, and a complete
staff. The center also contains classroom space for HPR courses and
offices for the staff.
