Pearl
River Community College has four locations in the six-county supporting
district (Forrest, Hancock, Jefferson Davis, Lamar, Marion, and Pearl River
counties). PRCC also offers night and weekend classes in numerous
locations throughout the district.
The
main campus at Poplarville is located on U.S. Highway 11. The Forrest
County Center is located in Hattiesburg on U.S. Highway 49 South.
The Hancock Center is located on U.S. Highway 90 in Waveland. The
Woodall Advanced Technology Center is located in the Forrest County Industrial
Park off of Highway 49.
PRCC
was originally founded as the Pearl River County Agricultural High School
in 1909 and became the first community college in Mississippi in 1921.
Some of the buildings date back to the early 20's, but have been well maintained
over the years and serve as landmarks on the modern campus. This
Virtual Tour will acquaint you with the buildings on both campuses.
Interactive buttons will take you through the campus step by step.
You will find information about each individual building...its history,
function and location.
