Choosing a college is full of all kinds of decisions...decisions that are usually hard.  If you an academic major and have already selected a major field of study, you are probably wondering if the classes you take at PRCC are going to be accepted by that university you plan to attend after graduating here.  The Counseling & Career Planning Services on both campuses are here to help you with these kinds of problems.  They help you select classes that will get you jump-started toward your university degree.  The Counseling & Career Planning Services Center is located in the Crosby Hall Student Life Center, just across from the Bookstore, on the Poplarville campus and in Building 5 and the Allied Health building on the Hattiesburg campus.  These professional staffs are qualified to help you make all those tough decisions about classes, class load and transferring

For the student who is looking for an occupation in the technical or career field, the Counseling & Career Planning Services should be your first stop.  They have programs that can help you decide on a career that will be rewarding and satisfying, and tests you can take to find out if you're right for that type of field.

As you begin to get ready for graduation, a special department of the Counseling & Career Planning Services, the Placement Center, will start helping you find the job that you've been working toward.  The Placement Center will even work with you after you graduate if you haven't found your job by then.  They can even help you find work during your college years through special programs that allow you to work and go to school.
